Spirometry

Spirometry is a non-invasive pulmonary function test (PFT) of a person’s respiratory system. It evaluates lung function by measuring the inhaled and exhaled air volume and air flow.

This technique is commonly used when assessing lung conditions, such as asthma, COPD and cystic fibrosis.

Spirometry data is pivotal to assessing primary or secondary outcomes in most respiratory trials. At CTC, our study nurses are well-trained in performing spirometry testing, ensuring high data quality.
